The #Hacked logo was created exclusively for the digital TV series [DARK/WEB] in which the show contains anthology-style episodes that are referred to as "The 'B' Stories". #HACKED was one of six athology segments within the shows itself in which the theme touches on the dangers of technology. The story behind #HACKED involved the main characters social media account being hacked as she finds herself being targeted. With this logo, it was important to convey a sense of glitching and computer corruption through the typography as a means to further emphasizes the feeling of someone's computer being 'hacked'. The hashtag symbol was requested by the director, Eric Salberg, of the 'B-Story' as a means to better convey a sense of being hacked through social media, in addition to its popularity, as well the director having done a previous short with a hashtag in the title.
