This is a modified, logo design I recently did for the digital series, that is now retitled as, [DARK/WEB]. With this particular updated version to the series title art, the filmmakers associated with the project wanted the design to not only look more digital then before but they also wanted it to appear even more glitchy as if we, the viewer, were looking straight into a computer screen. What opted for the title art to be redesign is because at the time, during post production on the show, other shows and movies were being released with the same title that it was imperative for the show title to stand out as much as possible. Since the shows theme centers around the dark web itself it was decided to write the title as if typing a url address into a web browser which opt me to include brackets "[ }" and a slash mark "/" within the title itself which further conveyed the feeling of a web address. In addition to the redesign, the title art was originally established as red, but in our efforts to have our title stand out from the crowd I proposed making the title arts color palette blue. The reason for this is because in the world of science fiction the color blue has always been a prominent color in establishing a science fiction feel. Plus, in addition to the show being that of a sci-fi genre, the show also involved horror that sketching the color blue also created a ominus, mysterious, chilling, and very much cold feeling that it certainly helped to better establish a sense of sci-fi horror. In addition to the redesign in typography and color, I have always been a fan of insignia design in their ability to represent deeper meaning through symbolism alone that this seems like a great opportunity to incorporate the MHIRE symbol with the title art itself which further helped the title art to be even more distinguished.
