This cover album was created for LOS FANBOYS newly exclusive intro song. The new intro music was composed by the talented Rob Chiarelli as the podcast made its triumphant return, after a three month hiatus, with its 50th episode! As a means to promote, and recognize, the debut of the new intro music for the podcast it was necessary to put together this cover album as a means to further promote the podcast’s return. Since the into music has a hip hop vibe, I felt the cover album itself should reflect the genre itself. Hence the decision to have the typography be as distressed as possible on a grunge-like background. In addition to design, it was also important to visually convey in the piece some kind of indication of what the music was associated with, which opt to put a microphone, spray painted, into the background.
