This banner was one of many that were created to help promote the TV series [DARK/WEB]. In this particular case, it was essential to advertise each “B-Story” that made up the show's very anthology format. "EAT.PREY.LOVE" told a story in which a couple meets through online dating as the relationship eventually descends into dark territory. Since the story involved both dating and love, naturally, red certainly had to be the prominent color in this banner's color palette. The director of this "B-Story," Roxy Shih, was undoubtedly fond of the imagery of the main characters' eyes that she very much wanted this particular image to be the very subject matter for the banner. In addition to the dark romance of which this story told I decided to add a little bit of a bokeh effect in which to help further emphasize a sense of elegance and love within the imagery.
