This was a freelance job that involved doing concept art for an untitled Akiva Goldsman film project involving werewolves. Although the project was in early development the story itself involved the existence of werewolves in modern times. There has certainly been a vast amount of interpretations towards the look of werewolves that has accumulated over the years that in doing the concept art for this particular project I thought it would be interesting to take the whole look of the werewolf back to its roots. In this particular case, I drew inspiration from the 1941 Wolf Man film in which I combined the anatomical anatomy of both human and wolf together. In addition to this particular direction of designing the anatomy of the werewolf I also thought it would be better to base the design itself on actual wolf breeds as a means to better distinguish the designs from what has been previously seen on screen.
